A Few Days Off
We’ve taken a few days off to catch our breath.
But here are some photos of my life here beyond the moko.
My Vrbo sanctuary and the owner’s cat enjoying morning sun. Birds of paradise in bloom; protea getting ready to bloom. Palm fronds rustle in the garden on a windy day.
Len Lye’s 40-foot Wind Wand, made of aluminum, along the coastal walkway next to downtown Plymouth. On a stormy morning, with an angry Tasman Sea.
The moko pod, on 56 acres of land restored to Rangi’s hapu, along the Waiwhakaiho River. On the first photo, to the left, you can see the lower slope of Mt. Taranaki, its peak shrouded in clouds. The river runs just in front of the tree line.
Interior of moko pod with Phil setting up in the morning.
